Most university towns pack up for the holidays, but Tübingen does the opposite. The Tübingen Christmas Market runs for a single weekend in December, drawing tens of thousands to a compact old town where half-timbered Fachwerkhäuser lean over cobblestone lanes and nearly every courtyard hides a stall worth finding.
