Harrogate Christmas Market 2026: Visit the Fayre

Last Updated: 1 July 2026
5 Comments

Already well known as a spa town with some of the best tearooms in Yorkshire, Harrogate leans into the season with a ten-day Harrogate Christmas Market that keeps growing each year. New stallholders join the lineup alongside returning regional artisans and gourmet food makers, and the town’s elegant Victorian architecture does the rest.

Convenient Hotels

Harrogate is a small city with a town centre that can be easily explored on foot. If you’re arriving by train, Harrogate train station is only a few minutes from the event.

I recommend staying at Prospect Crescent, which is one street away from the markets. It’s a lovely apartment hotel with classic decor and great views of the park and the Cenotaph.

What to Expect

Officially known as Harrogate Christmas Fayre, the hugely popular event is once again taking place in the pedestrian-only area of the town centre. Lights and decorations add a festive atmosphere to the cobblestone streets, with a giant tree taking its place in the very centre.

The White Christmas train is available to transport you around if needed, and live music will play during busy periods.

Sorry we’ve only just seen this. You can contact Destination Harrogate to book a place in a designated coach park after your guests have been dropped off in the town centre.
