Every year, a local designer creates an entirely new fabric for the Mulhouse Christmas Market, drawing on the collections of the Musée de l’Impression sur Étoffes to continue a textile tradition that dates back to 1746. The cloth drapes building facades, decorates chalet roofs and gets turned into everything from tablecloths to jewellery, making this the only market in Alsace where the decorations themselves are the souvenir.
