Esslingen Christmas Market 2026: A Medieval Style Winter

Last Updated: 1 July 2026
No Comments

Half-timbered houses dating back to the 13th century lean over narrow lanes where stallholders dress in period costume and craftspeople work with medieval tools. The Esslingen Christmas Market leans fully into this historical setting, running a dedicated Mittelaltermarkt (medieval market) alongside the traditional one, and the combination gives it a character that’s hard to replicate.
