Over 100 red stalls selling hand-painted nativity figurines, terracotta shepherds, miniature palm trees and every piece you need to build the elaborate manger scenes that Spanish families assemble each December. It’s a tradition dating back centuries, and the 17th-century arcaded square is the perfect stage for it.

A second market, La Navideña, is located at Plaza de España, about a 15-minute walk from Plaza Mayor. Here, you’ll find the ice rink and circus performances.
