Innsbruck is a popular winter destination, and its appeal is growing increasingly among those living outside the region. If you plan to visit Innsbruck in November or December (or even in January), you’ll most likely have the opportunity to see the Christmas markets.
Staying in one of my recommended hotels near the Innsbruck Christmas market will provide you with convenient access to the market and other attractions. This guide lists accommodations for all budgets, covering where to stay this winter.
Hotels Near Innsbruck Christmas Market
Each year, at least seven Christmas markets take place in Innsbruck. There is a wonderful festive atmosphere, with Christmas lights and decorations throughout the Old Town, as well as in the neighbourhood squares.
The following hotels are all within walking distance of at least three of the city’s main markets: the Old Town Christmas Market, the Maria Theresien Street Christmas Market, and Advent at the Market Square (Marktplatz), located by the River Inn.

The Stage 12 Hotel is only a few years old and has been beautifully designed with large windows, timber floors and cool blue and grey interiors. It’s a modern, boutique hotel that includes a spa and gym. There is an electric car charging station if you are arriving by car or the main train station is a 10-minute walk away.
