Sibiu is one of the larger cities in the Transylvania region of Romania. It has a small, historic old town, and you can see most of the sights in two or three days. It’s close to other popular cities, including Sighisoara (90 minutes) and Brasov (3 hours), and the beautiful Peles Castle is around the same distance away.
There is a lot to do in the region, but if you’re focusing on a Christmas break in Sibiu, I’ve listed the most central places to stay.
